How to Play the Most Popular Card Games at Labet8
New to a particular game? Each tab below covers the basic rules so you can sit down confidently at a labet8 table without the awkward learning curve.
Baccarat is played between two hands — Player and Banker. You bet on which hand will have a total closest to 9, or whether they'll tie. Cards 2–9 count at face value; 10s, Jacks, Queens, and Kings count as zero; Aces count as one. Totals above 9 drop the tens digit (e.g., 15 = 5).
Place Your BetChoose Player (1:1), Banker (0.95:1 after 5% commission), or Tie (8:1). Side bets like Player Pair and Banker Pair are also available at labet8 Baccarat tables.
Initial DealTwo cards are dealt face up to both Player and Banker. Natural 8 or 9 wins immediately without a third card — the hand is over.
Third Card RuleStrictly governed by the Baccarat tableau. Player draws on 0–5; Banker drawing depends on their total and whether Player drew. Automatic — no decision required from you.
SettlementClosest hand to 9 wins. Winning bets paid immediately. On a Tie, all Player and Banker bets push (returned). Strategy tip: Banker bet has the lowest house edge at labet8 — around 1.06%.
The goal is to beat the dealer by getting a hand total closer to 21 without going over. Numbered cards count at face value; face cards count as 10; Aces count as 1 or 11 (whichever helps more).
Place Your Bet & Receive CardsYou and the dealer each receive two cards. Your cards are face up; one dealer card is face up, one is face down (hole card).
Your DecisionsHit (take another card), Stand (keep current total), Double Down (double your bet and take exactly one more card), Split (if you have a pair, split into two separate hands), or Surrender (forfeit half your bet and end the hand).
Dealer's TurnDealer reveals their hole card and must draw until their total reaches 17 or higher. At labet8, dealers stand on Soft 17 — a player-favourable rule that improves your expected return.
PayoutsWin pays 1:1. Blackjack (Ace + 10-value card) pays 3:2. Insurance pays 2:1 if dealer has Blackjack. Basic strategy applied consistently at labet8 brings house edge below 0.5%.
Dragon Tiger is the simplest live card game at labet8. One card goes to Dragon, one to Tiger — the higher card wins. Suits don't matter; Ace is the lowest, King is highest.
Pick a SideBet on Dragon, Tiger, or Tie before cards are dealt. Dragon and Tiger bets pay even money (1:1). Tie pays 8:1. Suited Tie (same card, same suit) pays 50:1 at labet8 Dragon Tiger tables.
Cards Are DealtOne card face up to Dragon, one card face up to Tiger. That's the entire deal — no additional draws, no decisions after the bet is placed.
Result & SettlementHigher card wins. Winning Dragon or Tiger bets collect 1:1. If it's a Tie, Dragon and Tiger bets lose half (50% push) — this is the main house edge mechanic in the game.

Tong-its is a three-player draw-and-discard card game that originated in the Philippines. The goal is to form valid melds and reduce your hand to zero value before your opponents — or have the lowest unmatched card total when someone calls the game.
The Deal12 cards are dealt to the first player, 12 to the second and third players. Remaining cards form the draw pile. High-numbered cards (face cards, 10s) carry high point values — you want to get rid of them.
Your TurnDraw from the pile or pick up the top discard. Form sets (three/four of a kind) or runs (three or more consecutive cards, same suit) and lay them down. Discard one card per turn.
Winning ConditionsGo Tong-its (empty your hand completely) to win outright. Call "Draw" when the pile runs out — all players show their unmatched cards and lowest total wins.
